I have a lot worth writing about but so limited a space in which to write. This in all likelihood will be my last update from the road as my laptop is on the fritz and I just don’t have it in the budget to purchase a new one. Though things could change, I will look to my iPhone to keep an online presence. But on some larger scale I’m over it.
I’m over the need of the constant accolades from fellow contemporaries and journeyman alike. My photography, my art, is a part of me and the way I live and frankly, and for the most part, I don’t care what you think about the way I live. As I don’t care about the way you live, I just care that you live and hopefully live well.
When I initially began formulating the idea of this ‘art project’ I had several motives in mind, but only one truth. That one truth, the truth I acknowledged; My heart and my mind must remain open to inspiration and experience. And through that inspiration and experience I only seek to live creatively and passionately.
The images following are part of a smaller project I am working on, Project Capitol Hill, in which I have set out to extensively photograph a neighborhood in this great city. To find it's core. It's heartbeat. In this first set of Project Capitol Hill I found artistic solace in beginning with what I love to do most, photograph people. And while there are slight deviations in the imaging they are all nonetheless, part of the same genetic makeup.
I expect to be working on this project through the end of Summer.
If we don't speak for a while, may you be well.
